Continuing this months look at Google’s May 2009 updates that are changing the face of keyword research I give you the Google Wonder Wheel.

What is it?

The Wonder Wheel allows you to see related keywords around your initial search term in a visual form.

It gets even better – Click on any keyword phrase (yes, the terms are click-able) on the “spoke” of the wheel and watch it expand. It digs deeper into the initial search term, to discover more keywords that are related to the original search query.

You will find that this tool is not only useful in finding semantic relationships between keywords but it’s ADDICTIVE.

Getting to the Wonder Wheel

The next time you do a search on Google look for a link called Show options;

Click on Show Options. On the left hand side of page you will see;

If you have ever tried categorizing keywords on a spread sheet and sort them by how they relate to each other then you know this can really tax the mind. You will be pleasantly surprised how easy it will be to find more keyword phrases (visually) that are related to your market.

Click on the Wonder Wheel link and start digging.

Don’t forget to thank Google!
