The old age question about getting indexed by Google has been vetted thousands of times over the years. Everybody and their brother/sister has an idea or a secret way to get indexed.

I’m sure you’ve seen headlines like “Get Indexed in 10 Minutes” or “Get Indexed in 24hrs” or “The Secrets To Getting Indexed”. Phooie! It’s truly pathetic to read some of the ways that people suggest to get indexed and some are even border line laughable.

Well I’m here to tell you, if you put up a site Google will find you. It’s a very, very smart algorithm and finding a website is one of the easiest tasks it preforms.

Take a look at this. There is no content on this site and it hasn’t been promoted at all, yet Google has it in the index.

What can I do to get Indexed?

Do nothing. If you used a bit common sense and incorporated basic search engine optimization factors it will happen. Continue to build your site and add content and don’t worry about the search engines so much. There are no secret ways of getting indexed. There are no tricks!

The challenge is not to get indexed. The challenges lie in getting ranked for your target keywords so that other people can find you in the search results.

See you in the index!
