Google announced Real Time Search on Dec 7, 2009 but I hadn’t seen any results being displayed…..until today. To my surprise I found real time results being displayed by using the super-broad term SEO.
The results are displayed mid page in a scrolling box.

What does this means?
If you’re looking for information on events as they are happening, you can view content posted in the past few minutes rather than outdated news articles from the past.
“Whether it’s an eyewitness tweet, a breaking news story or a fresh blog post, you can find it on Google right after it’s published on the web,” said Google fellow Amit Singhal in a announced blog post.
Very cool!
